A Dream is a Wish.......

I have been trying to come up with a title of this post. The last two weeks have been very full. Monday, March 29th my dad had a complete knee replacement and the following Wednesday, I had surgery to remove uterine fibroids. I need to sit down and write down my journey through the process. I know God has been with our family the last two weeks. My family has taken wonderful care of me!

I was blessed with many visitors and beautiful flowers while in the hospital! I definitely felt everyones love and prayers through the whole process.

These are some scary pictures of me in the hospital! I couldn't believe my mom was taking pictures, but I am the one posting them for the world to see. I have no shame! The picture above was "after" my sis, Emily, fixed my hair-ha!!

I am so thankful that everything went great in surgery. Not to say there was no pain after surgery, but the doctors were able to remove all the fibroids. I am thankful that God led me to very skilled doctors. They said that my fertility looked great after surgery!! :)

There were a lot of questions going into surgery. They had to wait until I was on the operating table to know what type of incision I would have. I had 3 to 4 pounds of fibroids removed. I had a lot of blood loss, but I didn't have to have a blood transfusion.

My sister, Hayley, did a great taking care of me, when mom was in OKC looking after dad. We had many bonding moments! I had to have a lot of help the first few days! Thank you so much sis!!

I have had many moments of uncertainy the last few months, but most importantly I am grateful that God answered my prayer that I wouldn't have to have a hysterectomy! There were moments that I couldn't believe I was faced with certain possibilities!

The scripture God gave me the week before surgery was:

Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to Him for protection. Proverb 30:5
