Snow Snow and more Snow

The snow continues.... Honestly, when I feel the urge to complain, I have to stop and be thankful that we still have electric. So last night, I thought I needed to get out today! So a friend and I set out on an adventure. Before I left my driveway, I knew it was a stupid idea. It was good to get out and see everything for myself. In many aspects, the city is still shut down.

Before heading home, I needed to get more supplies to keep busy. I bought paint for a desk. Tomorrow, the paint brushes will come out again. Getting my car back into the car was a challenge, after a few pushes, it made it safe into the garage. At this rate, I may stay inside until Spring. Can I just hibernate? As for now Home Sweet Home!!

Blizzard 2011

Oklahoma was in the path of what is being called the Snow-pocalyse of 2011. We broke several records today for snowfall. Below is a picture of a snow drift right outside my backdoor- 26 inches. We received 15 inches, which is a lot of snow for a city that doesn't have the equipment to move that much snow and with temps below zero I don't think it is melting soon. I am loving my time at home and beyond thankful that we didn't lose power. School is already cancelled for tomorrow. I will not be surprised if more snow days are in my future.

I am getting closer, the next step is to finish the doors and then apply a glaze. Hopefully, I can continue to be productive!
